Teachers work hard all year to help our community and our children become the best they can be. We appreciate all of your efforts and hard work throughout the semester and we’re here to help you enjoy some much needed fun time with your friends and family. San Antonio is home to some of the most beautiful Christmas celebrations that teachers, school admin, and their families love to participate in. Here is our best list of things to enjoy this year during Christmas break!
Lightscape at the Botanical Gardens
As Lightscape makes its way back to the San Antonio Botanical Garden, get ready to be enthralled by its reinvented magic. This after-dark holiday haven has been converted into something bigger, brighter, and bolder than it was in its previous incarnation. Walk a one-mile trail decorated with over a million lights and take in a captivating trip that includes brand-new works from all around the world. Dates: Nov. 17 – Jan. 1 Find more info here.
Alamo Lights
Enjoy the holidays at the Alamo! Come stroll the stunning Alamo grounds after hours, when festive lights adorn the gardens, and don’t forget to check out the Alamo Plaza Christmas tree- it’s a majestic site to see. This event features larger-than-life light-decorated figurines of Alamo Defenders along with local vendors and a site filled with holiday spirit and Texas history. Learn more here.
ZOO Lights
Be there as the San Antonio Zoo transforms into a magical, animal-themed winter wonderland! Stroll the miles of lights, animal displays, and activities with your family and friends – it’s an unforgettable experience. Check out the Holiday Express, Polar Playground, Cowboy’s Yuletide Trail, and Water Wonderland! There’s something for everyone at this San Antonio Christmas classic. Learn more here.
Santa at the Pearl

Time to take the whole family (including the kids!) to the Pearl for a special meet and greet with the jolly man himself – Santa Claus! For both young and old, it’s the ideal opportunity to meet Santa, share wish lists, and create lifelong memories.
